Welcome Material Defender!
Descent is a legendary FPS PC game released in 1995. Destroy enemy ships with
innovative weaponry, barrel-roll your way past enemy bots with 360 degrees of motion,
and hold on for the ride of your life. Descent 2 was released in 1996 featuring
more levels, new weapons, and an afterburner! Descent 3, the final game in
the series, was released in 1999. Featuring true 3D rendering, new ships, and new
weapons, it is arguably the most action-packed of the three. Play all three
in single player for a good story or play them online for free. All you need is
a computer, the game, and Internet access. And yes, this series is still actively
played online!

Tracker Updates
The Descent Game Tracker showing multiplayer games from all versions of Descent has been enhanced. The tracker updates player information 10x faster now. It also refreshes automatically again so you can leave it up to watch for players while doing something else. Lastly, I went ahead and added a pilot listing on the main tracker page so you can easily find out which game your buddy is in. Rather than clicking each game, you can click the pilot and be taken right to the game they are in. Unfortunately, Rebirth does not make pilot information available to trackers so it will only show D3 pilots. Enjoy!

DFW Goes D1
Darkflamewolf has released several levels in the past few days. Freshly converted for D1, we can no longer say there aren't a plethora of new D1 levels to try.
To get them, click here, click the "Filter" dropdown, and choose "New."

2012
Descent on WiiWare has an updated release date of... 2012. Interplay has settled some legal issues with Bethesda so lets hope they are able to regroup and publish some of our favorite titles again.
