Descent 3 permits the configuration of your very own
custom ship logo for everyone to see. Whether you want to represent your clan,
yourself, or anything for that matter, configuring a ship logo is for you. The
logo is displayed on the ship's sides, nose, and backside. The format of the
image file is Outrage's own: .ogf (Outrage Graphic File). But the
configuration menu comes equipped with a converter that will let you transform
.tga's to .ogf's appropriately. The image file must be 64x64 and at least 24 bit
color encoded. After converted, the logo's will be stored in the
CUSTOM/GRAPHICS Descent 3 directory.
Once you have created such a TGA file start Descent 3, select your pilot and
click on the "Configuration" button. In the following dialog select "Ship
Configuration." Now click on "Import Graphic" and point to your TGA file. Then
click "OK." If the file meets the requirements it will be converted to OGF and
the OGF file copied to the CUSTOM\GRAPHICS directory. You can now chose your
custom logo in the list box named "Custom Textures."
